Before applying for a Chilean visa remember that:

  • Indian nationals, holders of a US visa of any kind (including Green Card) - except for type C (transit) - with at least six months validity at the time of arrival, shall be exempt from obtaining a Temporary Admission Visa (previous Tourist Visa) to enter Chile. The maximum stay period is 90 days. Travelers must have enough financial support for their stay in Chile.
  • When applying for a visa you must select the Consulate of Chile in India of your constituency. In the case of the Consulate of New Delhi, its constituency includes Bangladesh, Nepal and the following States and Union Territories of India:

 Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, National Capital Territory of Delhi.

 If you reside in another State or Union Territory of India or in Sri Lanka, Maldives or Afghanistan, you MUST apply through the Consulate General of Chile in Mumbai ([email protected]).

  • As of 12 February 2022, the Chilean Consulates will NOT receive applications for residence visas. Any inquiry regarding this type of visa should be made to the National Migration Service.
  • Kindly note that the Chilean visa process takes several weeks and can even be up to 6 months.
