On November 12, the president of SOFOFA, Bernardo Larraín, and the president of ALABC (Australia Latin America Business Council), Richard Andrews, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that creates the Chile - Australia Business Council. The Board of Directors of both institutions, the Ambassador of Australia in Chile, Todd Mercer, and the Ambassador of Chile in Australia, Patricio Powell, attended the event.
The signing of this MoU strengthens the economic relations between the two countries and will give a new boost to the commercial exchange and experiences between both countries, promoting a new post-pandemic business strategy.
The Chilean chapter of the Chile-Australia Business Council will be chaired by Ramón Jara, Director of Antofagasta Minerals, and the Australian chapter will be chaired by Andrew Phillips, CEO and Executive Director of Lithium Power International.
