The Ambassador Fernández Daza graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Chile "Andres Bello". He studied History and Geography Education at the University of Chile and International Relations at the National University of Brasilia.
From 2012 to 2017, he was Ambassador of Chile in Haiti. Since March 2017, he has been Ambassador of Chile to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of Mission to the European Union.
He also held posts in Missions of Chile in Romania, Brazil, Switzerland, Malaysia, Belgium, France, Mexico and to the European Union.
In Santiago de Chile, he was executive officer in directions for United Nations and Europe and Chief of the United States direction. He held the position of Head of Unit of the Contents of the American Summit in 1998.
Furthermore, during the APEC meeting in 2004, he was General Coordinator of the Leader's Summit of Trade Ministers. He was also appointed Chief of Cabinet of the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs.
