Chile has received the agrément to the appointment of Horacio del Valle Irarrázabal as new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden.
Horacio del Valle is a graduate in Fine Arts from Universidad de Chile. Throughout his diplomatic career initiated in 1971 he has served in various positions both in Chile and abroad. His experience in the Foreign Service includes Italy, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama and Peru. In the last country mentioned he served as Consul General.
Meanwhile, in Santiago, he has worked at the General Administrative Directorate, and at the Directorates of Protocol, Multilateral Policy and South America. He was also Director of Consular Affairs and he currently serves as head of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DIRAC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
