REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER CHILE

  • Negative result of the PCR test, whose sample collection cannot be older than 72 hours. These are counted until the time of departure of the flight with final destination Chile if you enter by air, or until the time of entry to Chile if you enter by land. If a person presents a persistent positive result due to having been infected with the virus in the last month, they can attach two positive PCR results, where the sampling of one must have been carried out up to 72 hours before shipment or entry and the other must have been made with more than 14 days of difference with the date of shipment or entry, but with less than a month from the same. Children under two years of age are exempt from this requirement.
  • Affidavit for travelers from abroad, available at www.c19.cl. All travelers, of all ages, must complete the "Affidavit of Travelers" form electronically and up to 48 hours before boarding (in case of coming by air) or entering the country (in case of coming by land). In this form you must attach the result of the PCR mentioned in the previous point.

These two documents will be required by the operator of the means of transport when boarding it, and by the health authority when entering the country.

SANITARY MEASURES ON ENTERING CHILE

Those who have been in the last 14 days in at least one of the African countries on the list (see below) must undergo a PCR at the point of entry and must also comply with a 7-day quarantine, regardless of their vaccination status and even if the PCR result is negative:

Those who have a complete vaccination scheme validated by the Ministry of Health: upon entering the country they will be tested for coronavirus detection (PCR) and the mobility pass will be disabled. You must comply with quarantine at an address reported in the Affidavit, until you receive the negative test result. To get to this place, domestic flight connections are allowed, even if you have not yet received the negative result of the coronavirus screening test performed upon admission. Once the Ministry of Health receives the negative result of the test from the laboratory, it will proceed to enable the mobility pass.

Those who are less than 6 years old, who have not been able to access vaccination for coronavirus and travel with a father, mother or legal guardian with a complete vaccination scheme validated by the Ministry of Health: to children between 2 and 6 years old who enter the country with their father, mother or legal guardian that if they have a validated complete vaccination scheme, upon entering the country, they will be tested for coronavirus detection (PCR). TRAVELER FOLLOW-UP

During the 10 days following entry, all travelers must complete a symptom self-report form, which will be received in the e-mail declared in the Affidavit. On this form, you will need to complete a health and location survey. That person who presents symptoms of coronavirus, must remain in isolation, report their symptoms in the form that they will receive in their email and wait for the contact of the health authority. In case of failing to comply with any of the previous measures, the traveler will be sanctioned according to the provisions of Book X of the Health Code, the Penal Code and Law No. 20,393, as appropriate. The amount of the fine applied to the sanitary summary for infractions to current regulations can reach up to 1000 UTM ($ 50,000,000.-). In addition to the health summary, the mobility pass will be blocked for any traveler or co-inhabitant who does not comply with current health measures.

Isolation for positive cases: Travelers who are positive in any of the tests carried out in the 10-day traveler follow-up period, and their close contacts, must necessarily perform isolation in the place and for the period of time that the Health Authority determine. Includes minors.
