Objectives and Tasks

Cooperate in the development of the country's exports through the delivery and dissemination of trade information to Chilean exporters, by means of studies and analysis of the Korean market. Assist diffusion of Country Image campaign and on business environment between Chile and Korea in the local media. Promote exports by organizing trade missions in order to penetrate the Korean market, participation in trade fairs and supporting Chilean exporters in logistics, information and management in finding trading partners.

Generate business contacts and identify business opportunities informing about exporting companies, as well as support the negotiations and implementation of trade agreements and the elimination of non-tariff barriers or obstacles to trade. Assist to potential foreign investors, providing information on rules and regulations, as well as benefits of using Chile as "Trading Platform" for third markets.

Mrs. Deborah Sheo Ye-won

Commercial Assistant

Technician for Equipment and Atmosphere graduated at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires (1993-1995). Has a Major in Economics at the University Sookmyung Women (1998-2000) and has partial studies in international relations at Yonsei University (2009). She speaks Korean, Spanish and English. She joined the embassy in 1997.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Organize local fairs and commercial events.
  • Contacts with authorities.
  • Responsible for accountability.
  • Collection of statistical information and market in general.
  • Assistance to business information upon request and supporting trade missions to visit Korea.
  • Translation / Interpreter of information necessary for the preparation of commercial economic reports.
  • Assistance in the detection of business opportunities.
  • Assistance in promotional activities of Chilean products.

Sra. Karina Sheo Yun-gyeong

Commercial Assistant

Graduated as Executive Secretary at the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1993-1995) and has a Major in Business Administration at Sookmyung Women's University (1998-2000). Previous work experience as a technical assistant at the Commercial Section of the Embassy of Argentina in Korea (2001-2003) and internship at the Trade Representative of Mexico (Bancomex) in Korea (1997-1999). She speaks Korean, Spanish and English. She joined the embassy in 2003.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Generation of meeting agendas for Chilean and Korean exporters
  • Collection of statistical information and on general market
  • Monitoring and updating of economic data, trade and business
  • Collaboration in the preparation of market profile and competitive analysis
  • Translation / Interpreter of information necessary for the preparation of commercial economic reports
  • Assistance to business information upon request and supporting Chilean trade missions visiting Korea
  • Assistance in detecting business opportunities
  • Assistance in promotional activities of Chilean products
