Miguel Ángel González Morales is a lawyer, graduated in Law and Social Sciences of the University of Chile and a degree in International Relations from the University of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. He has done advanced studies and graduate, including the Masters Program in International Studies from the University of Chile. He entered the Diplomatic Academy in 1980.
The Chilean Ambassador to Costa Rica, served -since April 2012- March 2010 as Director of Human Rights. Was General Consul of Chile in Paris (2006-2010), Alternate Representative of the Mission of Chile to the OAS (1999 – 2004), to the UN (1991 – 1997) and with LAIA (1986-1990). His first assignment abroad was as Third Secretary and Consul in Panama (1985).
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the post of Assistant Director of Human Rights-during the period March 2004 to March 2006 and has served in the Department of Immigration Consular Directorate (1997-1998), the Department of Economic GATT Address (1990 – 1991) in the Research Department of the Consular Directorate (1982 – 1984) and the Department of Letters Rogatory Letters Rogatory and the Legal Department (1981).
