The Embassy maintains an active representation before the various multilateral organizations based in the Netherlands and participates in their diplomatic and technical bodies. It also monitors the work of international tribunals based in The Hague, in particular, the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
This presence implies relationships with the International Criminal Court, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the Hague Conference on Private International Law. Within them, Chile has the opportunity to carry out various tasks, facilitation among others, and to participate in its decision-making bodies (assemblies, councils, and conferences) and advisers.
