Chilean investment abroad has registered significant growth in recent years, revealing that the globalization of the Chilean economy transcends the scope of trade in goods and services.
The growing presence of Chilean capitals abroad has become a relevant component of our country's economic relations with the world, particularly with the countries of the Latin American region.
National investors have materialized several projects outside our country, most of these resources are invested in the regional environment. Indeed, Latin American markets concentrate the highest percentage of materialized global investment, while MERCOSUR countries have received a little more than half of the total investment and those of the Andean Community of Nations approach the third. But the presence of Chilean investors has gone beyond the near environment and extends to more than 60 countries, including the Dominican Republic, Spain, Australia, Croatia, Malta, China, the United Arab Emirates.
