Objectives and Functions of the Embassy
The Embassy of Chile in Italy is responsible for representing the interests the State of Chile to the Government of Italy. In this role, it develops and supports the numerous rapprochement initiatives between the two countries, particularly high-level contacts with political authorities of both countries.
For the work of the Embassy is also significant the support it provides to meetings and integration projects in various Chilean sectors with its Italian counterparts, in areas as diverse as local government, cultural, energy sector and technical cooperation.
Additionally, the Embassy of Italy is accredited as Permanent Mission of Chile to FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization) and to the Government of Malta.
