Name: José Miguel Sepúlveda Torres
Profession: Veterinary Doctor from the University of Chile.
Experience: Extensive experience in bilateral negotiations and implementation of Free Trade Agreements, mainly in regulatory matters (Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, and Technical Barriers to Trade) and Market Access. Additionally, he has extensive experience in multilateral integration negotiations such as: World Trade Organization (WTO), Codex Alimentarius (FAO / WHO), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC); among other. His ability to work as a team stands out.
From March 2019 to date, he oversees the commercial office (OFICOM KOREA-PROCHILE) of Chile in Korea and the agricultural office (OFIAGRI KOREA) of Chile in Korea. The work in both offices has allowed us to provide a complete service to our Chilean exporters and Korean importers, being close to the different commercial and regulatory problems of current trade.
Additionally, both offices support SUBREI in the implementation of the Chile-Korea FTA and in the negotiation process for its modernization.
Finally, OFICOM Korea also supports the attraction of Korean investment to Chile in a joint effort with the Chilean Embassy in Korea and InvestChile for the promotion and foreign investment in new energies, where Chile has clear potential.
